Découvrir l’art du layering Coréen✨

Discover the art of Korean layering✨

The secret to healthy, luminous, and blemish-free skin lies not in a single miracle product, but rather in the way you layer your skincare. In South Korea, this method has a well-known name: layering.

This ancestral ritual involves applying your cosmetic products in a very precise order to multiply their effectiveness. If you apply your skincare haphazardly, you risk blocking the penetration of active ingredients and wasting your precious products.

The golden rule of Korean layering is simple to remember: you should always go from the lightest and thinnest product to the thickest and richest. You start with liquid textures like water, and finish with creamy textures.

It all begins with double cleansing, a non-negotiable step to deeply clear pores without ever aggressing the skin barrier. First, you use a cleansing oil to dissolve sebum, pollution, and sunscreens, then you perfect it all with a gentle foaming cleanser based on water.

Once the skin is perfectly clean, apply a toner immediately. Thinner than a cream, the toner rebalances the skin's pH right after washing and acts like a real sponge, making it ready to absorb the subsequent treatments.

Then it's time to provide targeted treatments with serums and ampoules. Highly concentrated in powerful active ingredients (such as alpha-arbutin for spots or matcha to regulate sebum), these treatments penetrate deep into the epidermis to correct your skin's specific issues.

Finally, the routine always concludes with the application of a moisturizer. Thicker, its main mission is to seal in hydration. It creates a protective barrier on the skin's surface that traps all the active ingredients from the previous steps to let them work effectively. By adopting this ritual every day, you allow your skin to breathe, regulate itself, and reveal its purest natural radiance.
